Passionate about living…

Small slice from a large summer field painting, one of my earliest sold years ago.

Expressing my passion through art is a means of sharing and communicating in the world with others.

I am living all the moments I can; the waking moments in between hours, days or weeks of chronic fatigue, pain and other numerous symptoms. Creativity exists in my life and I’m so blessed.

Much of my life is usually quiet and hidden from view with family or closest friends so if you do see me out, know that I’m celebrating that moment with gratitude.

A Little History and Context

I’ve sketched and seen the world in pictures since childhood. I sold my own ink drawings of architecture in the landscape during my teen years, including a colouring book of Suffolk scenes produced by local coastal tearoom.

After school I held a trainee role as an architectural technician and later went on to study architecture at Leicester which led me to complete an honours degree in design. During that time, I was so taken by the C17th and C18th Grand Tour, that a friend and I headed to Europe for a summer with only our backpacks and sketchbooks to see architecture of the ancient world.

Designing interiors, bespoke furniture & kitchens, garden design and in later years, graphic design including artwork and design for The David Silver Honda Collection motorcycle museum and the accompanying book (see link below).

As a postgraduate from Homerton College, Cambridge, I taught Art and Design in and around Cambridge. I’ve been involved in children’s education for the best part of twenty years, while successfully completed an MA in Education. This was fundamental in furthering my development, and progression in printmaking.

See my blog for upcoming exhibitions. Sold work remains in private collections both in Europe and the United States.

More details: Creative designer/artwork for the book: Your Guide to Early Honda Motorcycles and the David Silver Honda Collection, written by Roger Etcell, forward by James May (yes that James May)and printed by Leiston Press.

I look forward to hearing from you.
