Walking in the Rain

When the moment for action arose rain became my creative inspiration rather than a hurdle. We encounter so many hurdles/obstacles in daily living. These are really an opportunity to change focus, adjust our perspective. For example, my recent experience with tendonitis & sacroiliac joint disfunction was pretty debilitating. After treatment for my joint I was keen to keep it moving. The rain poured down!

With my husband by my side, hats and waterproofs on, we experienced the beauty of summer rain on forest ferns, the smell of pine, an atmosphere I’ve not been able to successfully photograph using my iPhone camera. These are the moments I aim to capture in my paintings, impressions of the feeling of being immersed in nature, the joy, the peace and sense of being totally present…thanks, enjoy your day.
